RSW exhibition in the Upper Galleries of the RSA, Edinburgh which runs until 4th March 2012.

Hazel Campbell has lived and worked in Galloway for most of her adult life, and through attendance at painting classes over a number of years she has developed her own vigorous style of painting. She has a loose, bold approach, working mainly in oil and gouache, using local Galloway countryside as a stimulus for landscape painting. Still life and flowers are also subjects, and like the landscapes, are being treated in an increasingly broad manner.
Hazel runs painting schools during the summer from her studio on the family farm. These are proving to be very popular, with her students having scope to paint in the adjoining garden and surrounding countryside. Click here for information on Hazel's summer schools.
Still painting in oils, and have three almost there, but not quite! How many more weeks will this take? Pleased to hear the watercolour in RSW is sold. The exhibition still has another two weeks to run.
Struggling with a little 'person' to fit in a frame 14 x 9 cms as part of the Spring Fling taster exhibition at Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries which starts on 3rd March. This is our 10th year, and we are organising a 'retro' room as well. Should be fun!
Summer schools are more or less fully booked. Summer seems a long way away!
